Terms of service

These terms cover the working relationship between me (Michell Akolo) and clients who hire me for freelance creative work. By hiring me for a project, you agree to these terms.

Scope of work

Every project starts with a written quote that lists the deliverables, the timeline, the number of revision rounds, and the total price. Work outside that quote is priced separately before it begins.

Payment

Invoices are sent through PayPal unless we agree on another method. For larger projects I may ask for a deposit before work starts. Payment terms are agreed in the quote.

Revisions

Each quote includes a set number of revision rounds. Anything beyond that is priced separately at my standard rate.

Ownership and rights

Once the final invoice is paid in full, you receive the agreed rights to use the deliverables. I may show the work in my portfolio unless we agree in writing not to.

Cancellation

Either of us can cancel a project in writing. If you cancel after work has started, you pay for the work done up to that point. Deposits are not refundable once work has started.

Liability

My responsibility is limited to the fees paid for the project in question. I am not responsible for indirect or knock on losses from how the deliverables are used.
